| Hand Holding, 2006 | ||

| This project happened in different
locations throughout Pittsburgh. I placed
the set-up (a table, two chairs, a sign stating "Hand Holding",
and a bottle of hand sanitizer) on sidewalks in The Strip, Squirrel Hill and Oakland. I would sit quietly waiting for passersby to engage me. Some opted to shake hands, or merely discuss the idea. Others took pictures on their cell phones. Sometimes couples drew closer and began holding each others hands. |
